I’ve booked my 650 (2019) in for valve clearance checks (30,000 miles) with a recommended motorcycle mechanic. The coolants will be replaced and I was thinking of getting the spark plugs replaced, but are there other things to check or get sorted whilst the bike is dismantled to the required extent. TIA

Coolant and plugs definitely.
It's worth cleaning any electrical connectors and dobbing some di-electric grease in and on them as they're classics for corrosion behind the rad.
I also heated and reshaped the fan shroud on mine as it had deflected enough to occasionally foul the fan. Checking and cleaning out radiator fins as well.

Throttle body sync after valve clearance adjustment

Coolant will be renewed as the radiator has to come off but as said , the connectors that are attached to the radiator inner cover is very important.
They must be cleaned and waterproofed as they'll give you problems at a later date.
Maybe a fresh airfilter and new spark plugs if you don't mind the extra cost but one thing that might need changing, not always, is the cam cover gaskits.
They can be re-used several times but If they are cracked and gone hard, change them.

Throttle body sync on 2007 on models need Suzuki Diagnosis System (sds) , or similar aftermarket tools ,plugged into ecu to set them.Might want to check if your man has the software.

Starting to get a bit of a ticking noise I have done a valve adjustment and all was in tolerence , a few were close, I’ve done around 4000 km since would a valve adjeustment rectify this or is this
