Probably the plastic covers on the stock muffler were disguising the heat. The  new one is just more exposed.

Mine turned up today. Prob won't get around to (trying to) fit it til Friday.
Ordered it using the SV650.org discount code (SV-OC) & got 5% discount - worth about an extra £15 off :lala:
Will let you know how it fits with the Givi rails (hopefully!)

Fitted with no problems (with Givi rails)  :lala:
I'm very impressed with it. Easy & straight-forward to fit. Quality & fit is excellent.
Sounds absolutely great. Very loud without the baffle (louder than the GPR I had fitted to my last Wee)
I'll probably fit the baffle most of the time - still sounds good.
Only thing I can find against the Fuel exhaust is there is no centre stand bump stop (not a prob for me as I don't have a centre stand).
Absolute bargain at £232 for the black one.

Looks well.
The Glee centre stand has a seperate bracket for the bump stop, so doesn't require one on the exhaust.

Ahhh, didn't realise about the centre stand stop on the Glee. Obviously different to the Wee.
In that case, there are no bad points against it. Its purfect.... :thumb:

I've even just finished the bar of Kendal mint cake they sent with it as well. Haven't had any of that for about 20 years... Very nice

Looks great! Yes it is  loud without the baffle but once you get used to it, you will have one of the best sounding bikes in town!  :auto-dirtbike:

Fitted an oval carbon system to my Glee today. My bike has a centre stand and Givi pannier rails. It was really easy and it is clearly made very accurately as no 'persuasion' was necessary. The clearance between the can and the pannier rails is now huge, which is a little annoying as the bike could be made so much narrower when panniers fitted. I have fitted many systems to all sorts of bikes over the years and this has been one of the easiest. Talk about the rear cylinder bracket being awkward to access is unjustified in my opinion. All you need is a UJ and a long extension bar.

My diablo has seen some weather and miles now, it's still looking fresh, though might need re packing soon as I think it's got more bark than it had, but its been a good cheap exhaust for a bike that has been thoroughly thrashed and done some fast touring.

No clamps have come loose, no corosion from the winter riding, all is good. :thumb:

I'm thinking of getting one of these too. How are folks finding the heat from them as I've got Givi plastic panniers too...

I've been out all day today and every time I stopped I touched my new Fuel exhaust just to see if it was scorchio or not.... it wasn't so I've no concerns when I come to fit my panniers for next years trip.

I had my Fuel can fitted with Givi e21 panniers & never had any problems with the heat from it. :thumb:

I'm looking for a can for my glee, what others are good and well priced compared to the fuel? The black oval carbon fuel can does look good, I have givi pannier rails on too.

Sea-strom, your exhaust looks great.

If I get a decent bonus this year I will go for one of these, cheers. :thumb:
