sharealike clutch mod
« on: April 14, 2016, 09:59:34 »
Just returned from 100 mile ride the first trip since fitting a 'sharealike clutch basket' the difference is staggering, beautiful smooth power, no need to feather the clutch at low revs, improved gearchange, eliminates the savage throttle off lurching and makes the bike an absolute pleasure to ride. Probably the single best modification I've ever made.
Ialso changed the brake and clutch lines to braided hoses which has made the world of difference to the braking and clutch operation, although the original hoses looked and felt perfect, the difference is obvious.
The cost of these mods to a manufacturer would be minimal, so why on earth do they skimp and produce sub standard machinery and alienate potential future customers.
Roll on June and our annual European trip (Aragon and Valencia this year) on a bike that,s now a pleasure to ride.

I fitted my newly modded basket back into my K6 Vee last night. I've to drop my daughter to creche for 0930hrs and then I'm going on my maiden sharealike  voyage. I honestly can't wait to feel the difference.

Isn't this 2014+ model subforum?
You people donĀ“t have your bike model in your signature or profile so we just have to guess what it is all about?
DL1000 2017 white
DL1000 2014 red (sold)
DL650 2012 white (sold)

Moved to the standard section as it is not a Veek discussion.

As said above, everyone needs a bike model in their profile or you run the risk of being given the wrong answer to your questions.
