I love the last bit, up that hill, doesn't look so steep on video does it.
That was proper offroad.

Thanks for taking so much time over these Juvecu, we all like our bike porn, and you are our main supplier lately :)

It was, my rear tyre has loads of small shallow cuts in it, all about 3 to 6 mm long, but no deeper than about 1-2 mm. Probably not that deep any more, done more than a week of commuting since

I still haven't washed the peak district off the wee. I might get round to it one day before strom trekking 3?? I've got some Rat Killer for the next trip to wash sven's port down.

Juvecu,
Brilliant, brilliant videos especially part 5. Have been waiting all week for that one. Just brings a huge grin to my face seeing that last rocky bit again.
Thank you for taking the time to do them. :thumb:

& once again thank you to Hutchie & Ptarmigan for their time & effort to organise it. :thumb:

Just a couple of things that I learnt from the Stromtrekkers week-end.....
1. Local knowledge is everything (I could have ridden around the peak district for days & not found half of those tracks)
2. Going slow is really good fun.
3. Need to take more port next time.....
 :obscene-drinkingchug:
OK maybe not the last one...

Glad it was a soft landing, I'm sure everyone on here has done it at some point.

:shy:  :shy:  :shy:  I won't go too much into an incident I had with my first bike a 1974 Honda CB550, it's centre stand arm and some concrete steps when I was late for school!  I'll just say it was a rather ineresting bike/rider ballet! :shy:  :shy:  :shy:

The CB550 is one of my favourite old bikes, wish I could find a good condition one with the black & orange paint scheme and the twin megaphone style cylinders both sides for a fair price. Like this one below, isn't it lovely? I would swap my CX + cash for one of those without a blink, even if the CX is completely restored

Lots of money for a good example though, check this advert. £5k!

It's a beauty.

My mate had a mint one until he lost it on a bend and wrapped it in a jacket of metal railings. He broke his leg and the bike was written off.

There is a member of the Gloucetser Bike club who collects bikes and I understand he has a special edition version but I can't see him wanting to part with it :(

I saw a newly restored GT750 (Kettle) the other day (warning stickers and all) at the bloke that did my MOT. It stood out amongst all the other alike looking sports and race bikes he had around in the shop and looks like a proper bike should :thumb:
