New chap from Manchester
« on: February 02, 2014, 20:27:57 »
Hello All,
Edd here, I’ve been looking through the forum for a few weeks, Today I have purchased an
07 v strom 650, so now I feel like a member.
Completed a quick 100miles today and really feel I’ve made the right choice of bike.

Welcome here Edd!

You're not far from me, I'm in Swinton.

Welcome.

My earliest recollections of life are Flixton, Woods End Road and a pedal trike. About 4 years old.

I'm only a month into a wee, it's a decent bike, so what matters is what you do with it. You are the only limitation.

I've just booked to visit the Nurbergring in July so that's me set up for the year and it gives me hope in these horrible biking days.

Swinton.... dangerously close.
Hilldweller; I visited the Ring 2 years ago, I don’t know if you’ve been before but I made the mistake of arriving on the Saturday, Absolute bedlam, so I did the Dam Busters run instead (brilliant run) and returned to the Ring on Tuesday, a lot quieter with only a few nutters on track.

No, a first for me but not for the nutters I'm going with. I've biked in Germany many times, usually on the way to Italy but never been on the ring.

I'm only thinking in terms of one lap, slow, thinking of the glory days of Fangio in massively powerful cars with skinny tyres and poor brakes.
