Hello from Norfolk
« on: June 25, 2013, 23:33:53 »
Hi all, I've just joined up having bought a really nice K3 DL1000 last week. I must say I'm very impressed with it too, it's really enjoyable to ride and a very complete package. I've already put about 400 miles on it, It is basically standard though I have added a centrestand (M&P) and a set of Givi's, and have lost a bar end. Plans are mostly around riding it lots, maybe get a different screen (I see M&P have a "On Two Wheels" one for this model - anyone tried it?), and replace the chain & sprockets fairly soon. It'd be good to catch up with any other local owners sometime too.

Cheers

Tim

Hello Tim, I'm a couple miles south of Norwich (Blue DL650K4). I'll look out for you, which should be easy given the yellowness of the bike ;-)

Quite like to do early Sunday morning runs (07:30 ish start) normally down into Suffolk as I prefer the B roads there for bacon butties  (Aldebough, Woodbridge, Southwold).

DL650K4 bought in April 2005 with 1800 miles, now showing 45000 (July 2018).

Thanks for the friendly welcome.

I pretty much agree about the colour although when I was shopping around I thought all the earlier colours are aok. Yellow does suit it well.

A local meet up would be good, though maybe one evening as Sundays I plan to be away (on it) usually.

Cheers
