new jacket required

got around £200 to spend on a new jacket, must be w/p (not a w/p liner). my current Oxford montreal lets so much water in through the sleeves I may as well not wear it. any recomendations pls

I've got a Merlin jacket similar to the picture below , I paid £200 for it around 5 years ago.

It's wax cotton, not everyone's choice but it's never leaked and it's warm, its got a removable liner and armour.

It performs way above its price tag .

A big plus is that it doesn't have a big lairy gold badge on saying "THIS IS A BARBOUR, I'VE GOT MORE CASH THAN SENSE!!"

I am outraged.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

For £250 you could get the Oxford Modial jacket. I've got the whole suit. Great products. Laminate design so wp but No liner. Totally dry, and I've been in some prolonged rain.

I spent the extra and got an Oxford Mondial jacket. And wow, just like MEP said, these are the dogs bolloks. Completely waterproof, warm and comfortable.

I have seen good reviews of the mondial also and the bloke in infinity yesterday was also singing the praises of the x raid.

just to update this,I found a mondial on ebay for £189.99 and so far seems to be good,if a little on the short side. not tried it in full rain yet  but fingers crossed
