Car v Motorcycle oil
« on: June 20, 2019, 16:53:37 »
That's a shame, wanted to do an oil change today and found only 2.5litres of spare oil in the garage...

Bought an oil and filter package from M&P, but browsed a few websites first...

Any ideas why semi-synthetic motorcycle oil is more expensive than semi-synthetic car oil? Are we just being ripped off or is there an actual difference between to the two?  :smirk:

Bike specific oil is dearer because we're daft enough to pay more....

It isn't the same stuff as bike oil doesn't have some of the friction additives that can bugger up wet clutches.
Seems pearl asbo orange is faster after all....

Buy supermarket motorcycle oil, it's a lot cheaper. I pay 7€ for two litres.  :icon_wink:
So how's it going so far then?
