Filmed during a July 2017 Tour! This IS the greatest pass I've ever ridden to date, Highly recommended. We got off the ferry at Rotterdam, short ride to Dusseldorf, tied the bikes down on an overnight train 900km to Vienna , just to get her ASAP!  :thumb:

Been there, got the motorail train also .. Great mountain pass .. !!  We had lots more snow though..

Certainly an "experience" kipping in the nightjet with four big blokes in a 7ft square cabin  :shock:

Our cabin had 6 people sleeping . We was on the bottom bunks, bit smelly up top though.  lol

We were told to expect a couple more blokes to join us in the middle of the night....lol thankfully that didn't happen. I remember waking up early hours stationary and for a moment thought I was in York Station!  No food or drink at all on the train the whole journey...lesson learnt for next time! I also got my self wedged on the lower deck of the transporter...not much room at all. I'm putting a video together to sum up the whole trip.

I bet you were proper niffed to discover the pass being closed  :shock: :shock:

My view of the GrossGlockner.
It was snowing over the pass , so to dangerous for bikes .

One of the biggest hazards I find when riding any European pass is other bikers! Especially Italians!

I noticed two big differences between there and my favourite place to ride in the USA, the presence of guard rails in so many places there and the absence of no passing zone lane markings.
