To add to this, I’ve decided to take out the four year service contract as well.
Yep, lots of money, but if you want the extended warranty the services have to be done as per Suzuki requirements.
Total for the five services in four years (don’t forget the 600 mile service at £184 making it five) comes between £1800 and £1900…..😱
However, if you pay by direct debit over 48 months, the £600 mile service is deducted and they also knock off a little bit more. Waiting for confirmation, but I’ve been told it’ll be about £31 per month…..£1488. No price increases either.
The warranty is comprehensive, but obviously doesn’t cover the usual consumables.
To put that into perspective, I was offered a two year extension on a Fiat camper van I used to own and they wanted nearly £900…..that was just the van side of things and not the living area installations.
I no longer have the tools or patience to mechanically maintain my bike. I look after them, do the day to day stuff, but servicing etc is now down to someone else.
I know some will have a sharp intake of breath, but it suits my circumstances.
My insurance company have also offered me a Gap policy, guaranteeing a £10k value for 5 years. Normally I wouldn’t even consider this, works out at £55 a year…….I’m thinking about that as well.👍
