This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

What camera mount are you using? I tried a fixed mount on my bike and the image quality was crap due to the resonance. I use a helmet mount but would prefer to have it fixed and powered from the bike.

I've got SWMotech Hawk light brackets. They fix at three points through the fairing plastics on to metal. There's a rubbery RAM ball bolted to the left hand bracket, a short metal RAM arm attached to that, and a RAM ball at the other end fixed directly to the Gopro frame. I usually shoot in 1080p which allows me to use image stabilisation, but these two clips were shot in 4k which rules out stabilisation - in the Hero 5 Black, at any rate. The Hawk brackets are very solid, act as a kind of tripod, but the 4,500 rpm vibes and "jello" rolling shutter effect are still there. Jello might be mitigated by playing with frame rate / shutter speed. The 4,500 rpm vibe would be cured by purchasing a Suzuki Bandit.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look at that mount. I normally shoot in 1080p with eis but the editing software I use (lightworks) publishes the finished video in 720p. If I get a paid up copy instead of the freebie version it will do the higher resolutions, but as a cheapskate I can't justify the cost. If I record at 720p I can get 6 hours of continuous footage using a power bank as a psu. I made a mount that attached to my madstad screen mount. It was very secure but the engine vibes got through to it.

Hello,

I also have the Hawk brackets for my spotlights.  I used my front Innov camera as the nut on one bracket.  Works a treat.

Well, I got on two wheels to do a bit of social distancing.
Not quite as interesting a ride and I'm attempting to catch the fish to go with the chips SWMBO will cook later.

Not Snowdonia then?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Cheers. The 2 most obvious 'deliberate mistakes' were at the first sharp left hander on the way up to Buttertubs when I got caught in too high a gear, and a left hander on the road from the viaduct where I ran wide due to an unexpected boot/tarmac interface. As I said, first ride for quite some time. Last, too, seemingly.  :GRR:
