Finally got myself a Wee!

Hi Everyone,

Finally got myself a Wee so figured it's time to say hello! Had my eye on one for a while and it's exactly what I was looking for - a bigger, much more powerful version of my Varadero XL125 (I mean that in a good way - it was a great starter bike). The ride position and general size is virtually the same, a major factor for me as I'm 6'4.

I don't understand why people call the strom an ugly bike - I actually prefer it over the Versys and GS, the front end has a much more aggressive style to it!

The previous owner took great care of the bike and added lots of nice extras including heated grips, full set of Givi boxes, centre stand, Givi touring screen, LED indicators, Two brothers exhaust and even a crazy set of LEDs in the hand guards which make it light up like some sort of spaceship at night!

Still giving it a once over so only have the sellers pics for now but it's the same minus the Sat Nav, seat cover and tank cover:





TO DO:

- Givi screen is terrible for me, focuses the air directly into my face. Madstad ordered plus a standard sized screen to give me some options.
- Find a decent belly pan and some crash bars, just incase!
- Sort out an issue with the front breaks (next step: Oily rag section)
- Add plenty of miles to the odo!

I've seen that wee somewhere before...!

It came from down near Colchester so who knows! Was a long trip to collect but it's exactly what I was looking for and a bargain price so defintely worth it.

Another XL125 to DL650 hero and in the same (best) colour.

Its a natural progression to be honest, at first I failed miserably at my CBT on their standard bikes, got myself a proper sized Varadero that fit me and breezed through first time. I did originally want a strom in blue though! But I'll admit it looks damn fine in black, plus it'll help hide the dirt some (I'm a rider not a polisher).

Where you from in Shropshire ? We're organising a ride next yr in Shropshire ..

From Telford and definitely up for a ride if you find somewhere interesting to go - it's easy to overlook nice routes when they're in your back yard!
