For those of you who do a few pub quizzes, I know this has been asked a couple of times at ones I've been to.......
How many horses are depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry?
Answer 190.
But what is never asked is, how many penises are depicted in The Bayeux Tapestry?
Answer 93! 88 of them on horses and 5 on humans. (I'm presuming male as the tapestry was done before women could have a penis  ).

I looked it up Rusty. George Garnett, professor of medieval history at the University of Oxford.
When I spotted one I had to know if there were others, as you do.  But it was easier to use Google than count them myself, besides we were half way along it when I spotted one & I'd have had to go back to the beginning!

Firstly it's an embroidery not a tapestry.(I know, ring the pedant alarm bell) also the victorian copy in the V&A museum has the naked men wearing underwear.Also when did sci-fi films start talking about sentient aliens or whatever....it's sapient.     Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding.
