Outdoor bike cover

Tried all sorts.
They all need replacing after a year because the wind makes them wear thin and shred where they rub against the mirrors.

For those who are still interested finally allowed back down our caravan in Ashford and got to uncover the triumph which has been covered up since October
Well to be honest the cover has done a very good job the bike just needs a good wash and polish

As expected the battery is dead flat I have connected it to my Oxford optimiser and as yet after 2 hours it is still reading 000 volts & 000 Amps a new battery is needed me thinks

Didn't I read on here somewhere that, that could be the case with an Optimiser?
I think the recommendation was to give it a boost by connecting a 'good' battery across the dodgy one and then connect the Optimiser, or put a 'standard' charger on it for a while.
I may be wrong here but hopefully someone will come along and help before you spend your hard earned.

You've remembered correctly Mick: the Optimiser will do nothing with zero volt batteries so connect another in parallel and charge both for a good while before trying it on its own again - how long depends on the current your charger puts out. If it's lain dead flat for any time, especially in winter, then it's probably beyond help though.

I only bought the optimiser down with me this weekend and I am not sure how old the battery is as I only bought the bike last year so I might treat it to a new battery I will see if there is a Halfords nearby I know there is Laguna a triumph dealership just up the road but they will want an arm and a leg for a battery

Well started looking for a new battery this morning done a search and found one on the Halfords website click & collect for £57.99 pick up in Ashford
When I get there they went to get it and they only had the box and no battery 
So had to go to the Triumph dealer in the end there price £66.99 
So after me saying how much the salesman gave me 15% discount 
He said he would prepare it for me and I was to pick it up later today WTF
I said I would do it myself but apparently the laws have changed and they cannot let anyone take the Acid out of the shop 
Anyway got the battery now and have it on the optimiser and will fit it tomorrow

Good to see you're sorted.
The change in law on acid was because the scroates were throwing it in people's faces.
