Anakee 2
« on: September 30, 2012, 20:26:21 »
Chaps,

The pair, £176 delivered from Nationalbiketyres. Seems like a goof price does it not?

The speed rating for these is H so 130 mph. This should be fine shouldn't it? I would never really go anywhere near this but If I did for arguments sake 115-120 on a straight, would this be an issue?

Good deal .
The speed rating is a max but I'm sure if you got to 131 they would not catch fire and send you back in time

H speed rating is fine, heatha. Your speedo is fast anyway  :neen:

I also got my Anakee 2's fitted today, and even though they haven't been run-in yet, they already had vastly more grip than the Maxxis they replaced the moment I set off from the tyre place!
In fact, they had so much grip from minute-one, I was able to tackle the twisty country roads on my way home at 60-66mph (Got to keep it road legal, right?) as opposed to the ~45mph I was getting with the previous tyres before the slippage began.

Hell, even rolling it up the metal ramp onto my hydraulic table with the Anakee 2's on it was much smoother (because the back end wasn't constantly stepping out on the way up the ramp).

Personally: I love these tyres already, and I've only done 13 miles on them!

Well that's the first day on the new tyres....first impressions, "brilliant" couldn't go too mad though as still scrubbing in.  But what a difference compared to the OEM's.  Bring on the #goodoldbritishweather
