FAMSA Tank Bag - SOLD
« on: September 30, 2019, 10:23:13 »
I've sold my Strom so have a used FAMSA tank bag on my hands. Its specific to the 2004 - 2011 Strom, mine was a 2006 DL1000 (I think it also fits the 650 of the same era). Brilliant bit of kit, showerproof but has a waterproof cover, expandable, and sits really tight and stable on the Strom tank on a harness which means no scratching of your tank every time you take it off to refuel.

£40 to a good home, will post it subject to agreeing cost.

Hi there,

Does it definitely fit the 650? Also, a stupid question, how do you fit it? I haven't used a tank bag before so a little unsure.

Thank you!

I'm 99% sure that the bag will fit the 2008 DL650. I've checked out pictures of it online and the 650 looks to be the same as the 1000 up to 2011. The harness is strapped to the bike with one strap going under the top yoke at the front, and 2 straps clipping to the underside of the tank at the back. You position it so the hole in the harness matches up with the fuel filler, then it just stays there. The bag itself is zipped on and off as you need it - the zip goes the entire circumference of the bag so its really solid.

As stated, a very good tank bag. Really stable when fitted. I've got one on my 2013, 650 but it is fixed a little differently. Looks in good condition and a good price.

If the one in the loft is the same as above I'll have it! I missed the boat last time around.
