So, the lovely wind we're having here just blew over my bike.  :dl_soapbox: The damage report is
Bent bar end
Potentially (unlikely) bent handlebar
Fuel leaked out of the overflow as the tank was nearly full.
Torn bike cover

So what thread am I looking for to get new bar ends? I've got an AL2. I'm assuming manufacturers use different threads, because of course they do...

do you mean the bar end has broken off or just bent if bent you  should be able to loosen of the screw in the end and work the rubber out of the bar and straighten if required or replace the whole thing, they work by expanding a rubber tube inside the bar when the screw outside the bar end is tightened

If it's just the screw that's been bent and nothing else £4.13 +p&p from Robinsons Foundry. But as has been said, maybe it would straighten.

Ordered a new bolt. I don't have any means to straighten the existing one as I live in a flat.
I'm half tempted to talk to the management company here and see if I can store my bike in the push bike sheds!

Did the bike have a cover on it?

Mark, it says in the first post "torn bike cover" so I presume it did.

I've learnt the hard way not leave the bike on the centre stand with a cover. Side stand is preferred.

I quickly found a position where I could put lhs leaning into a wall and then put the cover over.

It was on the side stand, I don't have a centre stand!

And, I ordered the screw, but it's a different length (see attached picture)
And guess what the other problem I've got it....

When my AL2 fell over the bolt bent, luckily because I work in engineering, we stock a wide selection of bolts and I just swapped it out and it was a standard pitch 6mm bolt.

Himaro.

Not sure if you still want a bar end weight bolt/screw..?
I was rummaging around today at home and found these.
They are 80mm long and came off my K6 Vee, I think they are the same .
You can have everything in the picture for the price of a stamped addressed envelope...  :thumb:

PM me if you want them .

Resolved it in the end. I got a spacer and it worked a charm. Still a bit odd.
Thank you for the offer, shame I didn't spot it sooner
