What do you tall people wear?
« on: April 22, 2018, 20:04:49 »
I am six feet four tall with a 34 inch inside leg and I am looking for some leather jeans to wear inside my boots.... can anyone recommend anything?

I ride to London every day so they will get used a lot and need to be comfortable and long enough so I don't get chilly ankles  :happydance:

JTS biker clothing in Coalville cater for the leggier biker. I have a 36" inside leg and they have been able to accommodate me. I have Furygan leather jeans too but they are a bit short. Fortunately Sidi Adventure boots are longer than regular motorbike boots so my legs are kept fully covered. My next purchase will be a pair of Hood K7 aramid jeans. These are available in a 36" inside leg and they will shorten them to a 34" for free should you consider a pair of those in future. Failing that BKS will custom make you a pair of leather trousers to your dimensions...at a price!
Old enough to know better, but too young to care...

I don't wear Jeans myself as I've always worn textiles.

However, I went all the way to JTS at Coalville just for my Boots and they are the best option for taller riders.

Also worth a look is the "The Gear Box" in Poole. They have loads of items in huge sizes - Up to 12XL and Helmets in 3XL, Boots to 15. I've never really looked for longer leg stuff in there, just the Helmets and Boots.

I'm about 6' 1" 34 inside leg.
I can highly recommend these if you can still find a size to fit, tinniest criticism no pocket/s
Gortex, and mine have been genuinely waterproof (when worn over my boots lol) and at that price :thumb:

36" inside leg and honestly I've never found any leathers I've been happy with the fitment of. I'm honestly convinced unless you go custom the trousers are impossible to find (and slightly unrelated but good luck with a one piece!)

I've been wearing a set of Rev'it axis textile overtrousers for nearly 3 years, because they have full length leg zips they zip over the top of boots/ whatever trousers or shorts I happen to be wearing which considering I use them for work/ running errands, touring, riding to bike cafes and the odd jolly they've been the single best investment I've made. 2 offs in them and the armour/ abrasion resistance has performed well.

Waterproofing has gone but I wear military surplus goretex overs anyway.

If you're not set on leather I would highly recommend them.

Well I went for the JTS leather trousers and I have to say they are excellent.  The leather is not as thick as the leather on my old WISE trousers but the length - I went for 36" waist and 36" leg - is perfect.   I went for the extra 1" in length as I have read several reviews how this was needed but to be honest the 35" would have been just as good.    Wore them when I picked the bike up and it was great to be back in leathers.   My RST textile trousers are good but not as snug as leathers or as comfortable.
Will take the quilted lining and protection out of the RST trousers and use the protection in the JTS and will use the RST over the leathers when the weather is wet.
