SV650 Raising the suspension?

Hello  all,
am aware a few of you ride or have had SV650's, and fancy owning one as well as me strom, so after some info.
Being longer of leg I looked a bit big for one when I test rode a few years back.
Is it possible to fit longer dog bones to make the bike appear larger so to speak?
What is the tallest you can go?

Never had an SV650 but if you look on ebay for SV650 jack up kits I'm sure you'll see something. Highest I would go would be 25mm, even that might be too much.  I had 25mm kit on my tiger800 but the steering was to quick so elongated the holes till it was 15mm and all was OK, stopped the bike grinding away in the corners.

Take a look at this www.lustracing.co.uk and look at jack up kits they do a great bit of kit but remember faster steering response.
They do 5 sizes from 20mm to 45mm depending on year of bike.

if you raise the rear can you not raise the front as well to keep the steering the same?

Raising the front will be an issue as they will be set and the very top of the fork tubes.
But yes, raising or lowering the rear will affect the handling.

Raising the rear will sharpen the steering, I found it twitchy when I raised the rear of the DL650 K6.

Be careful with Lust racing. Their products are designed for race use and are not tested to comply with EU standards for road use.
Saying that I've not heard of any issues with their gear.

Most suppliers only list lowering kits, but Lust do indeed show raising links.

Interesting then, so longer forks to raise the front also and keep same handling. Its fun learning about stuff
