So I have to come to Confession again: I spent the weekend on KTM, Triumph, Ducati and BMW. The video evidence against me is overwhelming e.g. and Can I be forgiven (again)? In mitigation, I did spot two V-Stroms...

If You are going for the Ducati Multistrada Enduro, the 950 is a better bike than the 1200. That is according to a bike tester on Ride mag who owned a 1200 !  He has probably swapped the 1200 for one by now.

 I owned a Triumph 1200 Explorer. Excellent motorcycle but very top heavy and that top heavy weight eventually moved me on to my current DL.

I wouldn't own a BM and imho the KTM has too much power for its own good, most of which cannot be used other than on a race track and then only by experts.

Yes it was Touratech. The Friday evening weather arriving there was horrid but it stopped raining for me to put my tent up and then Saturday and Sunday were glorious!  The KTM was really tall which made mounting/dismounting interesting... The Triumph I managed to drop twice - when stopping. The Ducati Enduro was my favourite, had a low seat height and they were the best in terms of skills teaching.

Was the course only used by the Ducati bikes? or were the other manufacturers using it or doing similar teaching?

The off road section was used by Ducati, Triumph and KTM. BMW didn't put in an appearance.
