Those look a bargain.. are they teflon coated? They seem to get decent reviews.

I have some Trailiders getting fitted to my Vee next week. Once I've got them scrubbed in I'll post up a report. If they're an improvement on the Distanzia then they will be a very good tyre indeed as they worked cracking on my last Vee  :thumb:

I Thought the Tourances were good, but these are BETTER, (Road use only so far, with a bit of gravel & grass in the middle).
handle really well, plenty of feel, neutral turn in, will see what the life is like

Picked up a PAIR yesterday for my Veek.   £157.00 pair.  Take away price

Will get them fitted in next week or so to wheels.  I always rated the Avons and they were brilliant on my previous Bike (1250 Bandit)

Reports on the net were very good for these and came in well cheaper than PR4's.

My Bridgestone's are still legal, but at 8000 miles the  rear squared off.  Looking forward to  putting these on.  :)

I had a pair fitted to my 1000, and they have done 5,000 miles now, including 2 peg-grinding laps of Nurburgring and more alpine passes than you can shake a stick at. Probably still 1,000 to go on the rear while the fronts look about half-worn. Excellent tyres, great feel, probably best I've ever had.

Done a few hundred miles on them and 'scrubbed' them in a tad.  Very pleased overall with them. The web gave these Avons  glowing reports and I guess with all new tyres on a bike,  it made it feel like something different.  Perhaps did not realise how poor the last rear had become.

For the price you cannot go wrong.

Hello trotts. How do they feel on the short sharp bumps? I found the oe stones OK for this but the a40's much harsher and now there's 5k on them even more so.  Where did you pick them up for that price, if you don't mind me asking.  Cheers

Not noticed any stones or bumps ! Did a 150 miles run around S Wales Sunday and very pleased with them.  Feel Bike handles so much better, but rear had sqauared off when changed. I suspect I would have been pleased over anything I put on.

Got mine from Cabot tyres in Bristol and collected. They are Avon agents and perhaps get better deal. About £160.00 to take pair away.  Then another £24 to have them fitted and balanced to wheels. They were cheaper than the internet regulars.

Thanks for the info.  I'll try my local supplier but they're big on Bridgestone's and I don't want them again.  Cheers
