File size is likely to be the issue. I used to be able to upload photos with no problems from my phone regardless of my camera setting, but recently they've been crashing unless I reduce the camera settings to the lowest it has.

The last one I tried uploading that didn't work (but had previously) was taken on my Samsung S6, 3.95mb, .jpeg resolution 5312x2988. Previously the site resized it, but recently it keeps crashing. I ended up resorting to editing (cropping) the photo on my phone to reduce it to 2.17mb at 2002x1992 which seemed to upload.

(As said I had posted the original previously without issue)

OK, when I get a minute I will uninstall and reinstall the resizing component to see if that helps.

At least one of these images started as a daft size, the sort of size images will be straight from a camera.

It took around 30 seconds for all images to be uploaded and resized.

I just tried to post a picture from my phone (= 5.84mb) and got an error saying "The www.v-strom.co.uk page isn't working"

I'll try a smaller sized picture.

5.8mb is more than ten times larger than it needs to be. Remember, when you submit an image you are uploading it to a Server in the wwwww web, then the software on this site needs to process it and strip it back to a sensible size.

Throughout all of that, if your connection isn't 100% then it is likely to fail.

Agree it's far too big, it's just the settings on my phone (I rarely change the settings).

I only really upload them when running over WiFi in my house - which this is.

That one was 1.75mb. Anything above 2mb doesn't seem to upload for me where it used to

I'll lower the camera settings on my phone, though photos I've previously taken and posted are likely to need cropping to work.

Is there a maximum or recommended size (mb/kb) for photos? I have the same issues with 4G as WiFi.
