Ah, Fort William. At the head of the longest west facing sea loch and at the base of the UK's highest mountain. No wonder it's wet, wet, wet.

A fine ride, Hessy, and another fine video. Looking forward to the next episode down to Loch Lomond.

The Fort William to North Ballachulish section used to be sublime till the department of arseholism decided it was too much fun and painted double white lines for most of its length. Fearing that they hadn't completely ruined it, the speed limit was reduced to 50mph. The result being that unless you are really lucky with traffic or hit it when the gangsters known as Police Scotland are already terrorising a pensioner for a faulty tail light, you will be lucky to average 40mph. I've done this road 6 times this year and only once was the traffic light enough to actually make it enjoyable.

From South Ballachulish through Glencoe, Rannoch Moor and Bridge of Orchy the A82 is still superb and after 40 years of riding it, it's still my all time favourite.

Another fine video Hessy  you ride very much like I do but I do try not to overtake on double white lines  I liked the double pass on the 2 camper vans

Unfortunately there inst a club for Cagiva Navigators but the Cagiva is the closest thing to a V strom as it has the same engine, I do own a V strom but don't have any Videos of rides on it yet but it was the Cagiva that inspired me to buy a V strom and 3 of my good friends went out and bought V stroms after riding my Cagiva.

Old Git.. yes I know what you mean about the speed etc ..if you look closely there is a yellow dot on my speedo which indicates 70mph (as the speedo is in klm and I think I only went past it a few times I think I was very lucky that day.

Asmith.. I had set off earlier that morning from my B&B just North of Loch Ness and I was only really stopping to fuel up you know when you get into the zone and you just don't want to get off your bike! I think I went stir crazy with the whitre lines sometimes

Another great video.
That first song brought a tear to my eyes, it was one of my mum and dad's favourite songs (bring him home) from Les Misérables god bless them.

Graham62...Aw bless you my friend, I hope they were good tears that brought back nice memories, certain songs can do that so powerfully.
That song was actually an artist called "Brian Kennedy" (I know his sister very well) and she gave me a copy of one of his CDs. This was taken from "George Best a tribute"  her brother Brian Kennady has the most amazing voice and he actually sang that song at George Best's Funeral. (if you listen carefully he actually says "George this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you" rather than Vincent!

I've seen them a couple of times parked up with the hairdryer discretely out the car window on that stretch of 50 between the Ballachulish bridge & Glencoe........
