Account deleted. It was so intrusive it was actually worse than my paranoia  :shock: I created an anonymous personal page with a yahoo email address, false name, date of birth and location. Despite that,  suggestions and connections Facebook was making clearly showed that it was looking at my contacts, my Linkedin account (work related) and my browser cache.

It really is Big Brother.

Ah, except accounts don't actually get deleted, do they? I'm sure I read somewhere that they're simply deactivated so that they can continue to mine data in case the user wants to re-activate their account.

Yes. That's why to truly delete your account you have to manually delete all your posts from your wall - although it would be impossible to delete every comment made on other peoples posts - then you can deactivate your account, yes it is still not actually deleted but at least it will be an empty shell.

I don't do BBC either, But I guess they (Faceache) have a fairly comprehensive file on all their inmates, I guess they make their money selling your profile to advertisers.
