My photos when posted are always rotated ?
« on: April 16, 2017, 18:14:22 »
Greetings.

I am a mac owner.  When I post photos on the forum they rate 90 degrees, have not fathomed out why this happens, any clues to save the day please.

Right way up on my computer, just this site ?

yes.  I Phone.  Air drop them onto my Mac,  they are correct way up at this point !.  In transfer process to site end up on side.  Might try taking some with my 'real camera' and see if same happens now you mention it !

There is a feature (bug) with this forum software that rotates phone images.

I've noticed that if you take a phone pic with the phone landscape, then it's fine. If you take it with the phone portrait then it rotates the pic

It must be an Apple thing as same with my lpad mini. Have to remember to take them landscape. Photos from my normal camera go on fine in either orientation.

Can you strip the metadata and just upload it as a regular picture?
