New kid in town , soon.
« on: June 09, 2018, 21:57:41 »
I really like riding my Harley for about and hour and then my old hips start to ache. After another twenty minutes they really hurt and will do for a day or so.  I test rode a Triumph T120 and what??? Easy to ride and low enough seat for me to get on and off. Hmmmmm I'm thinking about it.

I second Kwackboy.

Their reliability is crap, dealer support is no existent and it's all made in China these days.

Are they that bad chaps? You blokes should know being in the "trade".
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Hmmm!
I have been looking for a bike that I CAN get on and off hopefully, without falling over. My old legs etc. etc. I do like the Kawasaki 900RS but at 830mm it is 50mm taller than the T120. although the RS does have a low seat option that still may not be enough. Maybe if I could get 2 inch thick soles stuck on my boots eh! yeah!..... maybe .......
I have test rode the Triumph and watched the you tube review regarding crap suspension front and rear, and wiring joints held together by  poor quality sticky tape. The rims and spokes that rot when wet and other such stuff.  Strange handling that felt as if the headraces are too tight or the rear end was too lose. I am still thinking

May I throw a different 'bike into the mix, too late.

Ducati Scrambler, nice and narrow with a low seat option. :)

OK I'll take it that the Triumph was not the answer to my problems.
So then what are we left with?
Ducati scrambler may have been an interesting choice but the Brocket has chosen. A bike I can get on and off and ride and get my feet on the floor. Not too heavy and runs a bit like a strom.

Salesman says "one lady owner with belly pan, crash bungs and a fancy exhaust"
What about the bike?  :shy:
"Oh!", he says "2000 dry miles"
Well that's good, the saddle won't need cleaning.
And a very similar blue to my Doblo which, I hope, will be towing it to the Wales meet.
