Having been disturbed this morning by Dragonlady yelping about a burst pipe in the barn, I thought I would have an early night. No sooner had I stretched out my perfectly toned body, another yelp about the same bloody pipe  :angry-banghead:   :fix:

feck off winter.

It's called the "off" button, Joe. The only reward you get is more time to other things...

YouTube videos of people riding a nice touring bike through some green and pleasant countryside on a lovely sunny day. Not hammering it or anything, just bimbling...
...to a backing track of death metal.  :angry-banghead:  ### :violence-smack: Save it for the track day shoot.

 ### All background music is distracting for those, like me, who are going just a bit deaf.
 ### On TV and Radio they have people talking with background music so I can't understand what's being said.   ### It's not normal or natural.
 ### I don't go round with a portable device and turn it on every time I speak to someone.
 ### FFS Those Eurosport tossers even have music crashing away when they're giving the results of a British Super Bike Race.
 ### And then there's youtube  which does have some very interesting and informative items.  ### Then the video starts and I have to wonder why someone needs to have Slayer blasting away when the item is about fixing a leaking pipe in the barn. ###
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

NowTV - Scheming bastards!

Like most people these days we subscribe to a streaming service for entertainment on the TV. NowTV is one that fell out of favour, that was until there was a series that Dragonlady wanted to watch. So, being the genius that I am, I tracked down an offer from one of the electrical shops who were selling a NowTV voucher cheaper than the NowTV subcription. Sorted.

Imagine my surprise when I see a payment go out to them this month, I login to my account and it tells me I have no subscriptions and I have made no payments.

Well, after going round and round in circles on their diabolical website (that's a separate rant completely), I end up in an online chat, here I am told that I have another account!

It seems that when you buy one of these vouchers (from a third party), NowTV very kindly set up a new account for you retaining the Card details you used to buy the voucher (that can't be legal), you then apparently agree to them charging you on a recurring basis after your voucher has expired  :dl_soapbox: :dl_soapbox: :dl_soapbox:

They have refunded me (they weren't going to) but it was much harder work that it should have been.

Beware.

Don't know about streaming services (had a streaming cold for a couple of days ..... ), but use a Freeview box. Never seem to have the time to view what I've recorded, let alone watch live TV or streamed "content"!

Bike insurance,
renewal was up £115 from £98 last year.
Out of interest, went through MCN compare again and same company £90.
One unusually nice phone call later, renewed for £90 - another hour of my life I won't get back, why do they bother to feck around  :dl_soapbox:

Bloody car mechanics. Bought 4 new tyres from kwikfit but the bastards damaged the steering wheel.  :violence-smack: I'm now dealing with the usual bollocks of 'we didn't do it - it was like that already'  :dl_smiley_banghead:

They also adjusted the tracking except now the steering wheel sits at an angle in order to drive straight - holding the steering wheel straight veers the car to the right (see below)  :dl_smiley_banghead:

@Dark-Strom between 5am and 5.30am every day without fail. He knows when breakfast time is.

Next weekend will be difficult, he's never quite got his head around clocks changing...  :icon_no:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

@UK_Vstrom650
To adjust the tracking I have seen mechanics fix a tool to the steering wheel to hold it in place.
I would demand they compensate you.

I will. I'm going to take it up with their head office as I'm just going to end up in an argument in the shop.

The rig they use to lock the steering wheel while they adjust the tracking must have slipped. The evidence is the fact that the steering wheel is pissed. This usually mucks up the indicator cancelling dodab so that one side never cancels and other cancels too soon.

My Phone and Broadband was supplied by EE.
By deliberate choice :dl_soapbox: as I have an accurate opinion of BT's poor service and high costs.
EE were using/ renting BT equipment, lines, and exchanges and even so were about 50% less expensive than BT.  :icon_exclaim:
I paid £20 pcm from June 2013 to May 2016.
Then EE were bought out by BT ###
Since then cost have risen by £2 pcm every six months so that now I am paying 30% more.
 in the 18 :groan:
Given the low rate of inflation I feel justified in my hatred for B bloody T

We ceased virtually all our BT lines at work and moved them to a new supplier because they were soooo bad. I feel your pain.
