First Impressions
« on: March 10, 2018, 21:02:40 »
Well after taking delivery of my new 650 XT, I can say without hesitation that it's the best bike I've ridden ever in over 30 years of riding. I've had a Honda CBF1000 for past 5 years but wow this Suzuki is smooth, sleek and so great to ride. I'm currently 'running-in' the engine so I'm careful with the revs ATM. Anyway I love this bike and I'm so glad I bought it, my first ever Suzuki :-)

One thing I have noticed after a couple of weeks riding. When riding on the roads (but not actively raining), my boots and lower legs are wet from road spray from the front wheel. This never happened with my Honda. Anyone else noticed this? Still love the bike though haha

Fit a mudguard-extender
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

As Brockett says, they are on all my bikes, cheap to buy, easy to fit, and save the bike and boots!

Excellent bike. I had the 1000xt gt delivered two weeks ago with the Suzuki offer of extra accessories. The dealer gave me the spotlights for free extra. It's a pain during the running in, cannot wait to open it up a bit.
