Not even a VStrom virgin... yet

....as have still to buy one... but contemplating a 650 ...and wondering which model members would recommend:
XT or standard bike,
New model or 2016 bike...

I suppose I am wondering about spoked wheels vs alloys...

Look forward to hearing your views...cheers

Welcome!
Having come from a Transalp - spoked wheels to a Glee - alloy wheels, I'd say alloys win. Cleaning spoked wheels is a pain :smirk:

Hi and  :welcome:
Alloy wheels. Spokes are a pain to keep clean. Had spokes on my 1978 RD200 and it's been alloys ever since!
