FOR SALE DL650 K9 X Metallic Orange...SOLD
« on: May 03, 2018, 10:29:48 »
DL650 K9 X Metallic Orange, low miles, lots of extras, full MOT for sale
14,709 miles only, 12 months MOT until 19/04/2018, no advisories. Not ridden since MOT. Tyneside. Very clean condition, well looked-after bike in lovely metallic ‘candy max orange’ colour. Non-abs version. Always garaged, rare winter (salt) trips, always cleaned. Some service history, but mostly serviced by myself (oil and filter changed every 3000 miles max). Recent airfilter and iridium plugs; original chain, plenty of life. The bike has never let me down, no accidents, and has been a joy. Anakee 2 tyres with a few thou left on them. Only selling because it’s time for a change, and I saw another bike I really wanted - a 2017 650xt!
The strom is due a biggish service (15,000) to check the valve clearances, change fluids etc. I have incorporated this into my asking price to be fair – though I personally would have just ridden it this year, and waited until winter!
As standard the X came with handguards, Suzuki alloy bash-plate and Suzuki engine protection bars. Over time, the following excellent additions (costing many hundreds) have been made:
Suzuki centre stand (should be standard fitment)
Front mudguard extender (essential protection)
A fork brace (stiffens handling)
Full rear Pyramid hugger (prevents shock and linkages being blasted with mud, stones etc)
Steel radiator guard
Givi plate for monolock case
Givi engine protection bars
Givi PL monokey pannier rails
V-Strom tank pad
A ‘Eastern Beaver 3-circuit solution’ (google it!) for attaching 3 extra electrical items through a relayed, fused circuit.
A cigarette-lighter type waterproof power point
Excellent, adjustable, fused and relayed Dr Bike heated grips which go on and off with the ignition.
What else? Logbook and old MOT’s present. Original toolkit; spare key (it’s a pre-immobiliser version bike); Datatag; expensive-ish bright Phillips LED sidelights (the only ones that haven’t given up the ghost within a year!).
Everything works, the bike has fresh oil, is ready for summer! I’ll be sad to see it leave, though.
Looking for £2,750 ovno on the forum. Will be advertised elsewhere soon.

Cheers Paul :thumb:

Forgot to mention, current setup is lowered through longer dogbones, originals included if you want to raise it up again.
