Damp Feeling
« on: June 13, 2017, 22:44:29 »
The weather hasn't been too good lately in Scotland (what's new) with some of the worst rain I've ridden in. I have Goretex gear which works well and not let me down, but because the rain has been so bad its forced its way under the front of my jacket and soaked  :haha: my tummy!!

Other than buying bib and brace trousers or seeing whether I can get something like a Frank Thomas bib to zip into my current trousers I'm short on ideas on stopping the rain getting through.  I could do without the expense of buying new gear.

Any ideas or recommendations?

Did your trousers or jacket not come with a zip and the matching other half of the zip you can have sewn on the other one? If not a local haberdashery might be able to add a heavy duty zip to your gear.

Slightly embarrassing but I don't mind going public and admitting that the trousers and jacket match, and indeed have a connecting zip.  I've never used them in that way before (mind you, I've only had the gear since 2010!!!!!)

Sounds like a bloody good idea though  :violence-smack:

It's good to talk
