Beak hex Bolts
« on: June 13, 2018, 16:53:21 »
Dropped a plastic nut from a phone mount into the bike today so had to remove the beak / lift tank for the first time.

Both top beak hex bolts cross threaded first time I tried to re-install to their mounts. Looked lined up, must have been slightly off. But half a turn and they're swiss cheese. Grrrrrr... Had to replace with cheapo hex bolts that screwed straight in.

Suzuki fastenings still not improving with time then.
If it has two wheels.. I'll ride it.

I replaced all of my fairing bolts with a stainless kit shortly after buying the bike, I ordered the Speedy Fasteners kit for the 2014 model and returned any bolts which didn't fit correctly including my original Suzuki bolts to guarantee suitable replacements.

Here is the new kit, but if you contact the seller I'm sure he can sort out just the bolts required for the beak.
