G'day mate
« on: April 16, 2018, 00:50:23 »
Hello blokes,

I recently moved to Australia and had to sell my V-strom before leaving UK. It was sad but nothing buying another v-strom can't fix  lol
I thought in sharing a few pictures of my first rides near Brisbane, Queensland.
Some remarks:
- It does rain in Australia.
- I can see Wales through the potholes in some aussie roads.
- There is something new and very exciting, gravel roads, loads and loads of gravel roads kilometers.
- Once you get off the main  routes, roads are fairly empty, which is very good.
- Landscape change a lot very quickly, from the coastline - rainforest/mountain - flatlands agricultural - desert if you carry on west.

Hope you like the pictures and happy to host the next V-strom UK meeting in Australia  lol

Funnily enough I did the reverse - owned a v-strom 650 when I lived in Queensland and then bought another one when I came back to the UK.  I still have the one in Aus sitting in my mates garage on the Gold Coast for holiday rides.  Plenty of roads to enjoy in Queensland - Mt Nebo, Mt Glorious, Mt Tamborine - fantastic.  Enjoy and hope to see you on the road over there sometime (I've an orange DL650 2011 with Staintune exhaust).
