Wiring diagram for DL1000 K7 (Market E02)
« on: March 11, 2018, 23:10:18 »
Hello all, apart from my “Introduction” this is my first post.

Can anyone point me at a link to a wiring diagram for my Vee K7, specifically the one for the UK, ie the E02 market diagram? The service manuals linked from the “Downloads” page don’t seem to include the E02 wiring diagram.

Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I guess the E02 wiring diagram is not available out there, so does anyone have any wiring diagram for the K7 Vee which includes the 2 front parking lights? They are not shown on the diagram for the 2005 model which appears in the downloadable workshop manual.

The basic difference in that area is a brown power wire to each bulb split from an ignition switch brown wire as well as a black/white earth wire to each bulb.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

Thank you Greywolf.

I’m sure there must be some threads already covering how to wire in a Sat Nav, but I’m a newcomer to the site and haven’t found them yet.  I’m considering splicing into one of the parking bulb feeds to provide a switched supply for a Sat Nav. Do you think this is a reasonable option? My Vee is a 2007 DL1000GT K7. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide?

Look for a bigpie fuse box with the search function. Bigpie is a member on here that makes a switched power supply for Sat Nav, aux lights etc. It comes ready assembled and you just connect it up then plug your accessories in to one of the three fused outputs. It switches off with the ignition so your battery is not drained.  :thumb:

The brown wire will work for a light load like a Sat Nav. Be aware it will be live when the ignition is on or in P(ark).

Thank you both. I’ve used the parking light supply for the Sat Nav on my 1978 GS1000EC and it worked very well, but before I jump in and cut the wiring on the Vee, I’ll see if I can find details of the Bigpie fuse box. Cheers.
