Vote for Jonathan Rea
« on: November 28, 2017, 18:56:49 »
The BBC having motorcycle racing from their list of worthy sports have included in this years short list of "sports personality"   Jonathan Rea. You may not have any interest in WSB or even any motorcycle racing at all but I urge you all to vote for Jonathan. If we raise the profile it might encourage the Beeb to show the sport a bit of respect.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

FYI you need a BBC account to vote online and the voting is the 17th I think.

You have to register an account on the BBC website and once done can vote on the night of the program on the 17th December. It's a shame that the whole media in the UK pays almost zero attention to WSB, which has been dominated by British riders for some years, and other bike related sports in general. Here in France there's often sections in our local paper about biking events. But that's always been the story about biking in the UK whereas in most of Europe bikers are made very welcome.

Auntie doesn't like motorcycles - they're dirty, noisy and dangerous.
