I've enjoyed both shows so far. Let's see how he gets on trying to fly next week.

Nice effort Mr. Martin. Space hoppers indeed !

You're easily pleased - 60 metres !

I expected him to make it across.

Still very entertaining.

I'll bet he'd do well if he took to the F1 boat racing.

Yeah, 60 metres along, 30 down, that's nearly a hundred in my book

Just watched it, was impressed with the punishment the poor old Suzuki got - drownded a fair few times there, but resurrected quite nicely (should we take a hair-dryer to Stromtreks to dry out the filters then? ).

While I was watching G-uy do his stuff it dawned on me that I could not do what he was doing (even in my youth). Too physical, and too bloody scary - my imagination would have conjured up too many scenarios of death and frozen me ! Same with watching the TT...

The scary thing about the bloke Martin thing is he must have been doing more than one of these mad stunts at the same time, he had months of training for the pushbike thing, then months for the water bike stunt, flying bike next week, either he recorded the series over a few years or he's been a very busy boy!

Another fine effort from Mr. Martin. However, all he had to do this week was pedal, which is all he had to do the first week too, so maybe it is possible to do all these things (and the training) at once?

Yeah, I know, I couldn't do it.

What a completely enjoyable bloke. I've seen him in many things but his passion and wherewith all for life, let alone a subject he is passionate about is compelling viewing. It is to me anyhow.

Don't think much of this years Eurosport coverage of the Dakar rally.  It sucks.....

It used to be much better......

The programme is too short and the coverage the bikes are getting is miniscule-(that's nano to some)

Shame really-I renewed my sky sports package to watch it....

The bikes get 3-4 minutes coverage- about the same as Carlos Sainz and David Castera get every night!

Not happy...........

A bit weird. He had to break 25 mph, I think. His airspeed indicator showed 29 mph. Well that was how hard he pedalled but because he was pushing into a 10 mph headwind he got 19 mph recorded.

That seems all wrong. If they'd waited for still air he would have broken the record, unless it was 29 mph for, say, 100 mtrs.

Even then, the German actually flew his plane.

I was impressed by how he improved his power output. I assume all the programmes were made in parallel so there would be overlap with the Pendine Sands effort, however he's really working hard for the series and all credit to him.

I did feel that the technical team for this effort (particularly the Aussie) were not up to the standard of the previous 2. For example, using fibreglass to clad the prop rather than carbon fibre (although that may have been an error in the commentary).

I agree, the centre of gravity of the plane seemed all wrong, all of the others we saw fly lifted off evenly, not the lurching tail heavy version G uy had to contend with.

So not content with having Laura Trott teaching him how to cycle, he now has Amy Williams teaching him how to slide. He's a jammy fecker.

I enjoyed the series though.

I think they saved the best 'till last. But 80 mph to him, still in first gear and he didn't have to pedal.

But no "if's" this time, a good design, no fudges, just did what it said on the tin.

He didn't half fancy some personal tuition from the Olympic girl, didn't he  :)

I want to see a series of "Wheeler Dealers" where they take classic bikes and do them up to resell. There would be some great potential in this.  :)
