Fitted my mirror extenders.... stripped my Astra down..... well I'm sure you read all this up there^^ Thanks for all the help TLP

More importantly....

I had a ride on the nail...Now I understand why it is so difficult to stay close to it when it is ridden hard on the twisties, it really does make TLPower look like a good rider. Quite a change from the Glee and Nelson. Maybe we need to fit some smaller wheels to the AT ;)

Great day, fantastic cake and of course cracking company.

I'm up for it.

The later CBF wheels would be ideal as they come with ABS rings.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CBF600-REAR-WHEEL-NEW-DISC-SPROCKET-AND-TYRE
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Magnificent.

Also a kind thing to share the beautiful noise with others. :)

They also do one for the africa twin that fits without crash bars if anyone needs one.

I was thinking of getting one for the Varadero as a joke, then I saw the price and realised the only joke was the person buying them

My days off in the last few weeks have been fairly busy.

XJ600n:
Fixed a corroded and crumbling connector on the main control relay.
Sorted a leaking exhaust to head gasket.
Cleaned and greased calipers.
Oil change.
And a light scrubbing.
Fitted LED H4 headlight bulb.

TTR250:
Re-routed exhaust end can parts (fouling rear wheel)
Fitted legal licence plate for MOT
Found and fixed oil leak spraying onto exhaust.
Removed seized pillion pegs (had to snap LHS peg)
Fitted new Oxford Commuter heated grips.

Varadero:
Fitted Oxford heated grips
Replaced Givi plastic M5 top plate with old style all metal tube M11 version.
Fitted LED H4 headlight bulbs.

GSX:
Fitted LED H4 headlight bulb.
Checked tyre pressures
Rotated the wheels
Started it (first time since October - still sounds angry)

Next week I need to replace the secondary master cylinder piston and rod on the Varadero.
It's been an issue for a while, cost me a disk last summer and it's starting again.
Cleaned it in the summer it's getting replaced this time. Apparently it's a common fault on bikes like the VFR800, ST1300, Goldwing and Varadero that use the this type of combined braking system.

Some day soon I may get a day to go out and fecking ride.  :bawl:

Replaced the Secondary Master Cylinder internals on the Varadero. Should now see the end of my rear brake dragging issues.
Also cleaned and bled the whole system.

Changed the front wheel bearings in the XJ600n.

Tomorrow I'm having a day off and going riding...
On the Mrs' GSX.   :auto-dirtbike:

Bit of time spent in the garage again.

Managed to remove 2 exhaust header bolts on the Divy for sort the leaking gaskets, then adjusted the chain.

The TTR250 had a little more serious open engine surgery.
The RHS cover gasket has been leaking and spitting oil onto the hot exhaust and onto my leg.
All went as expected apart from the old gasket was well and truly stuck on the outer cover. Took a while to clean it off.

Bought another one.....

I'd put feelers out that I was looking for a wee project to fill the evenings and I got a bite today.

I'm now partially back in the fold again as it's a 2001 SS650SK1 in blue: a little scruffy around the cases and the fork sliders could do with a re-paint, but 22k miles, 2 owners with Scottoiler, fancy levers and Evo can. It just needs tidying and time: not seeing much that needs bought so this shouldn't be another nut & bolt resto job.

Started on the SV today: good power wash to begin with & on to the ramp.

So far the seat unit, tank and airbox are off - back to it to take plenty pics before I do much more.

Next job is to sort out some way of getting it on axle stands as there's no centre stand.
