Compatible exhaust with Givi panniers
« on: July 12, 2016, 09:40:44 »
I'm looking a new exhaust that is compatible with the Givi pannier frames and bolts straight on without the need for any ecu adjustments.  Any thoughts?

The Fuel exhaust will fit with Givi racks without any problems.

Edit: I fitted the round one without any problems, not sure about the oval version!

If you have, or intend to fit a centre stand this will also limit the exhaust you can fit. I think Scorpion may fit.

Hi Mad,
I fitted the Scorpion Titanium 3/4 system onto mine about 6 weeks ago but found the exhaust didn't quite clear the pannier rack.
I just welded another lug onto the frame an inch lower on the right frame.
If you want to see or hear it give me a shout next time your down Bangor way and I'll show you.

Yes I have the centre stand, didn't realise that could limit my choices!

Centre stand will not make any difference to you. Don't worry about it.
The stop for the stand is on the left so doesn't affect the exhaust as it comes up the right side of bike.

For example,  Arrow exhausts don't fit with centre stands http://www.arrow.it/en/assembled/1210  I think it's to do with the way the pipe bends...? I seem to recall seeing a few others that say they don't fit with one as well, and some saying they don't fit with panniers. Worth checking before you order.

Unnecessary quote removed

+1
*NOTE* I bought the frames second hand and they had been modded to fit closer to the bike and still there are no problems
Have a centre stand as well (OEM)

Exhaust is brilliant in traffic as well, people know you are there without being deafening

Very pleased with whole set up
