Whatever am I doing wrong?
I've never got more than 3,000 miles from a rear tyre on any bike I've owned in the last 20 years... I've used Dunlops, Metezlers, Michelins, Maxxis and Bridgestones, sticky sports, sports touring and so called adventure/dual purpose types. The current Bridgestone on the Vee has done 2,500 and has maybe another 500 left. I'll probably fit some A40/A41s in the spring. When I was still in the UK and doing a week's touring(?) with some mates in France every year covering about 2,500 miles, a new set was fitted before going and a new set on return. That was on a VFR800, a ZX6R 636, a BMW R1100SS and the Vee over several trips. Have to say we didn't hang about, especially in the South and the Pyrenees. Maybe I should get the new 250......
