Hello there
« on: March 11, 2018, 22:20:21 »
First time Vee owner here (DL1000 GT K7) although I did own a TL1000S some time ago, which I loved.

I’m a newbie to “adventure” bikes but I must admit I have no plans for any off-road adventures.

In addition to the Vee I have a 1978 Suzuki GS1000 and (whispers...) a KTM RC8.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
I’ve just collected my Vee from the dealer and trailered it home. I unloaded it, started it successfully once, then when I tried to start it a second time the battery was completely dead! So no first ride today.
Anyway, it’s now on a trickle charger, but it’s taken 3 hrs to move from “adsorb” to “charging” so I’m not holding out much hope for the battery. I’ve called the dealer and he’s promised to replace the battery if it doesn’t hold its charge, so that’s the good news.
