Review by Fat Rat  22nd November 2013
Since their launch in 2002 right up to 2009, owners have found the clutch baskets in the Suzuki DL1000 to cause a harsh engine vibration while riding. It became known as the “chudder” – part shudder and part chatter. There was also some unpleasant noise at idle. It was thought the only cure was a new clutch basket or to fit the later Suzuki SV1000 basket. By 2009 there was evidence that neither of these was a reliable cure as the vibrations all too often returned. 1. First Impressions/Unboxing Impressions I sent by Clutch Basket to John (Sharealike) for modification 2. Initial Setup/Installation I stripped the Basket from the bike myself and it was returned within the week completely rebuilt. 3. Real World Testing (how did it perform) The Clutch modification by John Sharealike has transformed the bike beyond recognition, it now reminds me what I loved about my previous DL1000's. It pulls like a train in every gear and is smoother than a really smooth thing 4. Specs & Other noteworthy facts Supplied here. 5. Tester's Opinion (summary) If your Clutch is vibrating then this modification is the best money you will spend on your V-Strom 6. Star Rating I give this product 5 Stars. 1 star = piece of crap 2 star = maybe I should have done more research before buying this? 3 star = decent bit of kit for the money 4 star = better than expected with some nice extras/features 5 star = does it have a sister I can marry?! (aka I will buy this again!) 7. Pictures (click for larger image)
